ALTV is the student-run video production program of Armand Larive* Middle School in Hermiston, Oregon. An affiliate of the Student Television Network, ALTV is a recipient of STN's 2023 Distinguished Merit Award and the 2022 Broadcast Excellence Award. In November 2023, ALTV placed 3rd and 5th from two Broadcast Story of the Year entries in the National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA) annual contest. In December 2023, ALTV received Honorable Mention in the STN Fall Nationals Contest in the Show Open category.
The original ALTV began in 1997 as a live weekly announcements program on closed circuit television. Internet programming started in 2012. Today ALTV produces the following programs:
ALTV News (feature reports and stories approximately once per month)
Morning Show (school announcements and a weather forecast twice a week)
Livestreamed events (sports, awards assemblies, special events)
